Outdoor Family Portraits
As a professional portrait photographer, one of my favourite specialties is using natural light, but it's not just as simple as point and shoot; Often, if not the majority of time, I use reflectors or a flash for outdoor images.
I believe that everything in the world is beautiful, as long as we take the time to look at it. It allows me to take normal, everyday subjects, and transform them into enchanting images by focusing on breathtaking light and colour. A simple shot like this, taken in normal Kent garden surroundings, has become a stunning portrait; I have used natural daylight to backlight the boy's lovely blond locks, and then used a small amount of Fill In Flash just to brighten the face and eyes a little. The result a simple but beautiful portrait for this family to treasure forever.
