The Studio

Lifestyle versus Studio Session

The vast majority of my Newborn photography work is carried out in the comfort of your own home, this way shooting newborns not only focuses on creating the perfect baby posed images, but also on the interaction between the new baby and their family and surroundings. With a newborn studio session, the session will focus more on perfectly posed photographs with lots of props and more staged ideas. If you wish to discuss both options with me, please do give me a call.

So what is the studio setting great for?

Well the answer is family portraits and older children. I am fortunate enough to have not only a home studio, but also an amazing garden designed especially as the perfect setting for family lifestyle portraits.
In my ‘garden studio’, as I call it, I have a hand-built life-sized cottage! Yes, an actual cottage with two floors for children to explore and enjoy, plus a climbing frame with slide and, of course, a trampoline.  These items, along with the beautiful garden space itself, really do make for an amazing setting for family and children shoots and all ages are catered for.
What I generally suggest is that, if you are interested in booking for a family shoot, it's great to mix it up with some amazing studio shots and also the lifestyle images using my studio garden setting.

Below is a photo gallery showing what can be achieved from one of these amazing sessions with me, both in my studio and in my garden.
